It's the time of the year (finally) where William McKinley High's New Directions and Carmel High's Vocal Adrenaline will be putting on a show for the public. That's right, it's the fall invitationals! Each show choir will be holding a performance in their auditoriums where they will sing and dance to three show stopping numbers. The official role playing threads will be put up on the 30th August, but this thread has been opened early so you can ask questions and prepare your posts!
As well as role playing the actual performances/warm ups in the threads, characters who aren't in the glee clubs can go along to watch. That also goes for Vocal Adrenaline going to watch New Directions and vice versa (due to liquid time). So, it will be a great time for some glee on glee drama and arguments! Take full advantage of it!
Due to the fact not all of the canons being filled (especially New Directions canon members and Shelby Corcoran/Dakota Stanley) slight power-playing will be allowed. That means if you are a Vocal Adrenaline member you can mention Shelby or Dakota saying something in your post, or if you're in New Directions you can say that Tina or Mercedes (for example) saying good luck to you before you go on stage. But we will not allow people to power play characters that are active, which means if you for example were in New Directions, you couldn't make Will say something (because Sanni roleplays him).
If you have an idea for a mini-plot that could take place at Invitationals, feel free to reply here and discuss it with other characters that would be involved. So if you want your ND characters to ambush Jesse and the Vocal Adrenaline guys, post it on this thread and discuss! Or if you want your character to fall and get injured, putting the performance on hold, please just mention it so we can get things straight.
Unlike the auditions, these events are compulsory for all glee club members. If you are having activity issues we understand if you can't role play as often but please make your character's presence known! Also, if you are confused as to what the Invitationals are still... In Glee terms, the performance of Rehab that Vocal Adrenaline did in the Pilot was their invitationals, and Last Name/Somebody to Love in the Rhodes Not Taken were the numbers that New Directions did for theirs last year. If you're still confused, reply here or message a staff member. A little update here, you may have notice Sanni has been removed from the staff list but that is a mutually-agreed and discussed thing and she will still be an active member. She may or may not be returning to the staff team in the future, but she is welcome back whenever and she knows that!
