Hey guys!
We recently had a few members from another site come and insult Showstoppers, which was what happened in the Cbox. I decided that it would be smart to let you guys know which site it was who's admin and members came across and attacked our community, so you know in the future what glee site not to join (there are plenty of other great ones out there!)
Down with spammers, up with fun!

We have also heard that a few members have been on their site responding to this, and it would be advisable to be the bigger person and walk away, so that our site's name doesn't get dragged in the mud, and we can get past this! |

A sign of intellectual and emotional immaturity in its most basic form. I've been the admin of/member on many sites over the years and in my experience, problems like these are usually started by thirteen or fourteen year-old girls who a.) have nothing better to do or b.) lack the capacity to voice their opinions in a coherent or acceptable manner. No offense to thirteen or fourteen year-old girls, I like most of you just fine. It's simply an observation. I haven't been over to the site in question, I have no intention of doing so. I have no desire to enter a site where members aren't mature enough to abide by the Proboards ToS and common decency, nor do I wish to get sucked into their strange and somewhat sad endeavors. Don't give it any thought, Steph. I'm a member on many Glee sites and Showstoppers is great, definitely one of my favourites. Hopefully they'll decide to show a rare and shocking sliver of maturity and stay away.

Thanks MJ! It's great to know that the members are behind the site and aren't going to run away from the first signs of spammers/trollers. They posted a similar thread, but actually called me, the site and all the members insane and that what they did was harmless fun. It's ridiculous. But I'm glad Showstoppers is one of your favourites! (: |

Hey, I love this place, In fact, I posted this in reply to their post on their site.
"Meli, you couldn't insult her and not expect her to fight back. I've gotten into plenty of blood wars on websites where all of them, I ended up being banned from because I seriously insulted somebody, or emotionally scarred them. She worked hard on her site, and I'm sure she'd appreciate you not to hate on it.
Just like you wouldn't like it if a random group of people came here and started bashing this site....
Its a creative outlet, and she obviously didn't like you guys disrespecting it. She worked hard on her site, because she enjoys glee, She doesn't want you ruining it for her.
It was truely, without a doubt, a very, very, irresponsable, and immature thing for you to do. I'm sorry to say that. "

Hi there! I happen to be one of those crazy-ass members from "that other site". Fortunately for you, I've shown an interest in joining. Trust me, my friends were just horsing around. In Skype, their worse. It's pure insanity.
So if you don't want me joining... then just say so I guess, but this seems like a really cool site once you get past the craziness we just had.

Haha Ashley, in short we ran into some troublemakers on the cbox and their insults and constant harassment got to me. And sanni, I never bashed them, I made this polite thread to tell people what was happening AND made a post telling people not to go there, and they made a thread calling us 'f***ing insane'. |

I accept your apology, and will give a small one back. Although you are mainly in the wrong for coming here in the first place, even if you didn't act on your worst intentions, I shouldn't have retaliated. I am not used to spammers and snapped back. I didn't ask for this, in fact I was very welcoming to you, so I do not need to apologise for how I acted in MY cbox, but I do apologise for taking the argument to your cbox, and how I reacted there. I hope we can move on from this.
