people change and promises are broken
clouds can move and skies will be wide open
Samantha was great. If all young girls were like her I'd force my dads to get me a sister. We could stay up til the early hours of the morning watching Grease and Funny Girl and singing along to all of the numbers. We'd do duets and post them on Myspace, and she would join New Directions and we'd argue over who got the solos. But it would all be alright at the end of the day when we were rehearsing dance steps for glee club together in my bedroom. Maybe I could steal Sam when Seth wasn't looking, or better, get them both to move in with me. Then she could come to McKinley instead and she'd get to experience a show choir that was more like a family than an army. And Seth would be my protective big brother (although he might have to prise that role from Noah's hands) and confront all the guys who broke my heart. I sighed happily, then shut my mouth when I realised that it had been audible. "Really? That sounds so fun. If you get to meet any Broadway legends make sure you get their autographs for me." I told her with a smile and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. This day had turned out to be a lot more fun than I had thought it would be, and it was all thanks to Seth. He was such an amazing friend and part of me wished that I wasn't so hung up over Jesse or confused over Finn, because I bet Seth would make a great boyfriend. He'd watch musicals with me, and compliment me to no end. I wondered why he complimented me so much actually, most guys thought I was kind of weird looking because I didn't dress in crop tops and hot pants, and I had also been told on numerous occasions that I was overwhelmingly annoying. But obviously I had done something right to make him enjoy my company.
I frowned when he started talking about Jesse. I had had no idea he was such a jerk at Carmel, seeing as he had been quite decent when he went to McKinley. But then again, Vocal Adrenaline was the Carmel High equivalent to the Cheerios, so he was able to be a jackass to people. At McKinley High, New Directions was still at the bottom of the food chain and he had just been the drama queen who had dated me. He hadn't got slushied, or at least, he hadn't told me about it if he had, but that was probably because he kept himself to himself when he was there whereas I wasn't really afraid what the jocks and the preps with no brain cells thought about me. They were all Lima losers that were secretly jealous of my talent. But before I had time to say that we were outside a house, which I presumed was his, and it was time for his sister to go home. I smiled at her. "Bye Sam! It was really great meeting you. I'll have to bring Funny Girl round, the film version, some time. I think you'll like it." I told her and turned back to Seth once she was gone, raising my eyebrows. I didn't know if he'd approve of me coming round to bond with his sister seeing as I'd hurt his feelings earlier. So, I was going to make it my personal goal to get him forgive me. "Where next then?" I asked him, looking up and down the road and then back at him. I didn't know Akron very well, I usually stayed in Lima when I went out because whenever I came here I usually ran into someone from Vocal Adrenaline that hated me. But I was with Seth so I was more confident than usual. At least I'd have an ally if we ended up bumping into Emily or somebody.
