PERSONALITY,
"Sometimes I forget my middle name." Honesty and sweetness is all you're going to find from the blonde. Brittany tends to speak her mind, regardless of if it makes sense to anyone else but her. She is always bubbly and happy, oblivious to the problems of the world around her. She loves to dance and she loves her friends, and she just wants to have fun. She has her moments of sincere intelligence, but they're just like lighting: one brilliant flash and it's all gone. Underneath her naive exterior is a very insecure teenage girl who searches for approval in everything she does. She tends to stay quiet about certain things because she's afraid of rejection. She feels most free while she's dancing, and is truly the most comfortable around her best friend, Santana Lopez. She is very easily swayed to do anything as long as it comes with the promise of a friend or a warm smile, which is often why she is pulled into Quinn and Santana's schemes and why she picks on Rachel. She cares about her friends with all her heart, and loves them dearly. She keeps their secrets and would take them to the grave. She views others with an optimistic light, liking them unless they -or Santana- give her a reason not to. She tends to stay in the background, not minding being a support for her friends. She doesn't like being in the spotlight, because she's afraid her flaws will shine through.
HISTORY,
Brittany grew up in a normal home. Her older sister was her idol. She worshiped the ground that Marie walked on, and aspired to be just like her. Her sister was very intelligent and a lot older, so she spent most of her time being condescending to Brittany. Her parents are often away on buisness trips or second honeymoons, and Brittany soon learned to keep her thoughts to herself, or else her sister would crush them like bugs.
She met Santana Lopez, her best friend, when she was ten years old. They lived next door to each other, and she began to admire Santana the same way she admired her sister. She met Quinn through Santana, but always felt closer to the Latina then Quinn. She stuck with the two of them through elementary school and middle school, cheating off of them on tests and keeping all of their secrets.
When she got to high school, Santana and Quinn got the brilliant idea of becoming cheerleaders. Not wanting to be left out, Brittany joined as well. It was here she discovered her love for dancing. She never complained about the harsh way Coach Sylvester treated them or the intense training they had to do because being a Cheerio not only made her popular, but gave her a place to express herself through dance.
When Brittany joined Glee club with Santana and Quinn, she really didn't mind it. She viewed all of the kids in it as people who were beneath her, and she treated them like her sister used to treat her. Soon, she began to love it, because the people were sweet and she got to dance as much as she wanted. She was happy when Santana stayed as well, because she was fond of her best friend. She realized she loved her about the same time Quinn got pregnant, and she's kept it a secret. She loves the Glee club and the kids in it, and has never been happier.
