Well howdy, the name's Bryan Ryan, although you probably already know that. One tip, don't get on my bad side, because you will regret it, and I will punch you in the face. Yes, I'm not a very nice man, but so what? Better to be different than boring, a bit like William Schuester actually.

PERSONALITY,
Bryan Ryan is known to be a bitter, vengeful, and over dramatic old man who is always eager to bring others down for the sake of his own welfare and of course, his ego. He can also be very mean, and this is believed to be penetrated as a result of his childhood in high school and his well known misfortune throughout his past. Upon first meeting him, you would probably class him as an arrogant, selfish, miserable old man who takes pride in bringing other people down, especially if you're a member of a Glee club, but underneath all that, either when he's under the influence of alcohol or is having a heart to heart with a person he trusts, he is actually pretty caring, only his tough and bitter rock of a shell hides all that inside of him. Overall, not many people tend to try and befriend him, as they would probably regret it.
HISTORY,
Bryan has spent all his life growing up in Lima, and unfortunately has never left, which is something Bryan will always be disappointed about. His long term ambition was to become a Broadway star and have his name in lights, which had all started once he had joined the Glee club in high school. In his teenage years, Bryan attended William McKinley High School where he was the hot shot of Glee. All the girls followed him everywhere, each wanting to be the girl he took on his arm down the corridor on his way to lessons, which he enjoyed very much. Whilst in Glee club, he grew an instant dislike to William Schuester, his rival in his high school days. Everyone believed that he would insult him and dig on him, just because he was easy to offend, but the truth is, Bryan was extremely jealous of him. Despite telling him he had not talent, Bryan felt that Will was competition and was someone who was trying to steal his limelight, and he did his best to get rid of him. There was also the fact that Will had began dating a cheerleader called Terri Del Monaco, whom he had the biggest crush on, yet never had the guts to tell her. As soon as he heard that Schuester was dating her, Bryan began humiliating him every chance he got. After a few years, Bryan graduated, and pursued his dream to become a star. Eventually, he did accomplish that dream, but when something came up he didn't like, Bryan threw it all away by quitting, which resulted in him sleeping on a mattress in a shabby apartment, and this will always be a massive regret of his. Bryan then married someone he met along the way and moved in with her back in Lima. And even though he makes out he's happily married, he hides quite a lot from her. For example, his basement is filled with Broadway memorabilia from his past which he cannot get rid of, but his wife doesn't know this as he's kept it hidden throughout their marriage. You will now find Bryan working as a governor for the school board in Lima, where he holds the decision of whether the schools keep their Glee club or not. Bryan grew up with his mother, Jane, and father, Harry in a small, semi detached house at the end of Lima, where he would usually find himself blasting out his records out upstairs in his bedroom as he tried to block out his parents' constant arguing. He'd never told anyone except his wife about this, but he would sometimes find himself crying in the corner of his room as he begged for them to try and resolve things. This never happened as when he was 16, the two of them split up, leaving him to have to live with his father. He'd always been close to his father, as the two of them would go fishing every weekend since the age of 8. Since then, the pair of them have shared a close bond, which was why the death of his father in May 2005 hit him hard, and he still hasn't really gotten over that. Besides his parents, Bryan was always fairly close to all his family, especially his grandparents, whom he would visit every Saturday and Sunday for lunch. So, underneath all the hard exterior, is a man who cares deeply about his family and those close to him, and someone who would risk life and limb to help them.
