A large white building with pillars out front and a large grounds full of perfectly clipped bushes where Mike lives with his mother, step-father Jimmy and step-sister, seven year old Erika. He also gas a dog- a big, fluffy sheepdog named Jezabel. He found her during his homeless year (see history) and she wouldn't stop following him around. He took her home after finding no owner.

PERSONALITY,
Mike Chang? Oh, the Asian on the football team? You know him from math class or watching him play football but never actually talked to him? That's because Mike is a shy guy, first and foremost, and has trouble making the efforts to reach out. This isn't because he is insecure about himself, more because he doesn't know what to say. If you take some effort and say hi to him and reach out a little, he'll be a good, loyal friend. But if you just ignore him, the odds are that he will be just the slightest bit afraid if you.
So once you get past his outer shell, Mike is a good friend. He is extremely loyal, always keeps a promise, and hates to disappoint. He likes to think of himself as the friend anyone can count on. He can't remember ever sharing a secret or breaking a promise. Mike also loves to have a good time. He believes life is a series of thrills that exist for anyone who wants to to enjoy. He doesn't party however, at least not in the way that involves drinking and drugs (see history). He just wants to have a good time and dance.
Dance! This was why he joined glee. When Mr. Shu came into the football locker rooms that first day, memories of dance lessons his mother put him into when he was younger flooded back to him. Mike had been quite good, and the lessons were hip hop. He loved it, but had been pegged as a loser in elementary and had quit in the fifth grade. When Finn joined glee, it gave him an excuse to continue dancing and he had joined up as soon as he could.
Mike is protective of his friends and family. He can be a bit possessive of them sometimes, and gets jealous easily. The senior's biggest fear is that he will lose them somehow.
HISTORY,
Mike was born to Felix and Lea Chang. Both had come to America for a better life from China, although Felix had been just a baby when this happened and had grown up here. Jane came at age eighteen, after her mother and father had been killed in a car accident. They met at a community college, an fell in love. At age twenty they were married. At three twenty-five years of age when their son was only three, Lea and Felix had split up. They said they just didn't love each other anymore.
For a couple of years, Felix had stayed in Lima to be closer to his son. But when Mike was ten, his father moved to Bluff, Utah. A friend of his had gotten a small propelor plane- a Husky model and offered to split the cost with Felx and two other men. They built themselves an 'airport' and had taken the red and white plane there. Felix had always lived to fly- his father had taught him to fly while training for the second world war, where he had been killed. He always said flying brought him closer to him. Mike spent his summers with his father, as well as other holidays, but lived with his mother the rest of the time.
When he was just fifteen, Mike's mother lost her job. She was devastated, and lost their house. On the streets, she turned to drugs. Mike was horrified to see them take control of her, and she blamed him for what had happened. He vowed to do something, and took up a job at the bowling alley, and the owner agreed to give him a place to stay and a little extra payment. Soon, he rented his mother a small apartment. One day, she met Jim Clark at the park. He says it was love at first site, and he cleaned her up and they were married a yer later. Mike and Lea moved in with him and his daughter, Erika, who adores her new older brother.
So this is how life has gone for him. Mike spent his summer's flying airplanes, which he adores and taking care of his mother, who his whole life revolves around. He worries about her, and doesn't fully trust her to Jimmy.

your thoughts on this site; I never thought about roleplaying glee. i adore the idea and was so happy to find mike open as he is a favorite character of mine. this seen like an awesome site full if great characters and people. damn straight.
