Welcome to the first ever issue of the Showstoppers newsletter! This will be a monthly publication with updates, sneak peeks at what's coming soon and even in character gossip! Did you know that on the 21st of August, Showstoppers will be two months old?It feels like only yesterday I was making this site, it's like my child! Also, as many of you may know, the auditions for New Directions are currently under way, however we hope to wrap the thread up soon in time for Invitationals. So if you want your original McKinley High character to join New Directions, scoot over to this thread as soon as possible! We want to hear your character belting show tunes or singing pop music a cappella.

Coming up in the next week or so are the Invitationals for the two rival glee clubs, New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline. Not only will the members of the glee clubs get a chance to perform a few numbers before Sectionals in January, they also get to go along and check the competition. However, we need songs for them to perform, as well as soloists to perform them! Please send your song suggestions and solo suggestions to the admin account (click here to send a message) and the songs and solos will be announced on the day! Suggest as many as you want.

In late November (September in real time), the two schools will be hosting an inter-school winter formal! That's right, a dance between Carmel and McKinley. Get your frocks out girls, and guys we want to see your smartest suits and tuxedos. An official thread for the event will be posted closer to the time detailing what's on offer there and a sign-up sheet for your characters. So men, if there's a special someone you want to invite, you better start the flattery soon or you'll be going stag! I hope you're enjoying your time on Showstoppers, and we look forward to seeing you around. If you have any questions feel free to PM one of the staff members and we'll be glad to help.

Wow, a lot has happened since we started back at school a month or so ago! The new term was kicked off by a party hosted by Vocal Adrenaline member, Emily Jordan. We hadn't heard much about her but she definitely wanted to get her name out there, it seemed. It wasn't smooth sailing however, because New Directions members Rachel Berry, Quinn Fabray, Kurt Hummel and Noah Puckerman crashed along with Lorelai Anchors and Cameron Beckett of McKinley High. Rumour has it the confrontation ended with daddy's girl Emily slapping someone, but that someone wasn't even a gate-crasher. Hmm.

It seems that the summer has brought Quinn Fabray and Noah Puckerman closer together. Or maybe it was their baby, Beth, being born. They've been spotted sharing ice cream and cuddling at the glee club auditions this month. However, Santana Lopez doesn't seem to be too happy about the reconciliation. At least she has her best friend, Brittany Morris' shoulder to cry on, right? Or maybe they're a bit more than friends. I'd love to hear a confirmation on this couple, which has been dubbed Brittana...

My personal favourite glee star, Rachel Berry, has been receiving a lot of male attention recently. Although I know her loyalties lie with a certain Jewfro, my inbox has lit up with rumours that she can't decide who means more to her. Quarterback Finn Hudson or Vocal Adrenaline star, Jesse St Jackass. Even after the infamous egging it seems that she is still pining the loss of he boyfriend Jesse. There also seems to be a dark horse waiting in the shadow... Seth Hall. Yet another Carmel High student, however this one was seen insulting the legendary show choir at the end of summer party.

SIGHTINGS!

- Rachel Berry and Carmel High School's Seth Hall were spotted hanging out the other day. One claims that they saw the two kiss! Is he the new Jesse St. James?
- Speaking of St. James, an anonymous reporter swore they saw him pulling out of the WMHS parking lot last week.
- Lorelai Anchors has finally returned to McKinley after being mysteriously pulled out of school last year. It looks like she's beginning to make herself comfortable, too; seen joining New Directions as well as befriending Rachel Berry, Brittany Morris, Quinn Fabray and Mike Chang.
- The new English teacher, Miss Riter, was seen being badass the other day. Actually, she promised me extra credit for putting this in.
- Mr. Schuester and Ms. Pillsbury have been avoiding each other like the plague. Has their mysterious 'tango' finally ended?
- Rachel Berry reportedly dumped Finn Hudson for someone in another school. Seth? Or perhaps Jesse?
