HISTORY,
Jakeson Whithers was born and raised in New York. He was born on the seventh of September to Chase Whithers and Mary Whithers. He wasn't the only child in this family and had two older siblings. His older sister, now twenty-eight left home when Jake was born. She said that she didn't want more than one brother and Jake himself looked like he was going to be a hard child to handle. She moved in with their grandparents and is now engaged to an ex-convict named Mason James. His sister will become Natasha James. He also has a brother, aged twenty-one, named Sean. Sean, although he did not want a little brother, did not move out as he was only six at the time. Instead, he made Jake's life a misery, not bothering to talk to him when Jake wanted to play. He sometimes invited his own friends over, some who would think Jake was cute. Those friends would be punched by Sean and then they would start to ignore Jake, aswell. His mother wasn't happy about this and told Jakeson's father, who simply laughed and said that Jake was merely the same as a runt and he had to learn to take everything he got. His mother and father argued a lot over Jake and he became isolated, locking himself in his bedroom often and only coming out to go to the bathroom. His mother would sometimes have to get everybody out of the house before she could get Jake to come downstairs to eat. Jake only loved his mother because it seemed only his mother loved him.
When Jake started school, things didn't get any better. He wasn't the kind of boy who would fit in with people easily. He was known as the scruffy, younger brother to Sean Whithers. They loved Sean but wouldn't dare to even speak to Jake, even if they wanted to. As he got older, Jakeson started to believe that this would be the same for the rest of his school year. It wasn't until one day, when he was being bullied and pushed around by some older kids, that he realised it wasn't really going to be bad. This was because, as he was being pushed to the floor and dragged back up, a boy he had never seen before came over. He looked older than the boys who were bullying him and Jake was sure he was new. Afterall, who would dare to protect him if they knew Sean. This boy dragged Jake up but not in a manner that was meant to hurt him. Instead, this boy dragged Jake away by his hand. When they were safely away from the bullies, the boy introduced himself. He was called Joseph Standard. Jake soon became friends with this Joe and was later introduced to Joe's brother, Josh, who was in Jake's year and his class. Josh and Jake grew incredibly close, not going anywhere without each other. These two boys were his first and only friends. Nobody bothered to bully him anymore after figuring out that Joe wasn't one to mess with. Josh was about as much of an outcast as Jake was. He rode horses and his mother and father owned a yard. He was living with his grandparents in New York and didn't get on with his mother and father. A few times in the holidays, Jake and Josh would go back to see his mother and father, whom loved Jake more than their own son. Jake soon grew to love horses, Mr and Mrs Standard soon offering him a foal that they had bred themselves. Happily and gratefully, Jake accepted and the foal, thoroughbred, was soon named Ricco. Other than Josh, this horse was his best friend.
When Jake was thirteen years old, he did something that most boys wouldn't do until they were at least a few more years older than he was. It was Sean's birthday and they were meant to be going out for dinner. Jake didn't like his brother so he claimed he was ill and his mother phoned a baby sitter ( Carrie, aged sixteen ). Everything was going fine until he got out of the bath and Carrie came in to tidy his hair up a little bit. Jake, not knowing what was going on, slept with her. [ PSH. This is better once you know Jake. Roflllll. ] Worried that this would get out, Carrie left as soon as Mary and Chase got back with Sean. She wasn't seen again. Soon after that, Jake told Sean what had happened because he was scared and he liked what had happened. Sean told him that he was going to be in big trouble and that he would have to move away if he wanted it to go away. Panicking, Jake asked his mother and father if he could go to Ohio to live with his grandparents. Before his mother could argue, his father had shipped him and his brother to Ohio. Sean, not liking the fact he had to go too, left Jake alone with his grandparents often. In Ohio, Jake felt lonely again. He missed Josh and although he'd said goodbye millions of times, it still didn't feel right. He missed Ricco and Joe, too. And his mother.
As Jake started the new school, he met a girl and instantly fell in love with her the day he met her. He was paired up with her in English and he found out that she was the head cheerleader and the complete opposite to him. Although they had something in common, they both loved horses. After talking to each other for a while, it was clear that they both felt the same way about her. Unfortunately, the fact that she was way more popular than he was made it hard. He got into fights with the Jocks and didn't exactly get on with her other friends. But they finally decided it didn't matter and got together. Nothing went right for Jake, though. He was scared to commit to her. Telling her he loved her was all good and well but when it came to calling her a girlfriend, things didn't turn out the way he wanted. Soon things started to get better until Bryony stated that she was going to California to a stables. Then she was gone and Jake was once again alone and lost.
Jake began to sleep around a lot and by the time he was fourteen, he'd lost count of how many girls and guys he'd slept with. He wasn't ashamed, the feeling numbed his pain. He enrolled in Carmel High and became a member of Vocal Adrenaline. Although he was an outcast, he made sure that he'd slept with most of the girls and at least one guy. He doesn't like Carmel High but since his brother found out he wanted to go to McKinley, he purposely used the money his grandparents had given him to buy an apartment in Akron. An apartment only really big enough for one person. Sean.
