And as the students at McKinley and Carmel High get older, do they get more mature? With Invitationals just round the corner, time will tell. Shelby Corcoran, the director of Vocal Adrenaline, has decided to coach the glee club for another year, whilst also raising her newly adopted baby, Beth. Needing this job to support her child, she holds back star Jesse, knowing she can't win without him and if she doesn't win, her position is lost. But rumour has it that although Vocal Adrenaline managed to scoop yet another consecutive Nationals title last year, Jesse's heart quite isn't there anymore. He had a full ride to UCLA and was held back, and without his spirit, Vocal Adrenaline stand less of a chance. The rest of the team still maintains its competitive streak, however, and it still will be a difficult road for New Directions. The fate of McKinley High's show choir is in the balance...
