For those of you who are unsure of the competition structure to show choirs, the main contests are:
Sectionals - New Directions is Western Ohio, Vocal Adrenaline is Eastern Ohio Regionals - Both show choirs are in the mid-west Nationals - Only one of the competing show choirs will get through to this round, the toughest of them all.
But how do we determine the winner? Regionals - If both show choirs win their sectionals competition, they will both make it through to this round. Therefore, the winner is determined by how good the quality of role-playing is of each team. And to make the judging unbiased, the polls are open to the members of Showstoppers who can vote for whom they thought was the best role playing team.
Sectionals and Nationals - In these competitions only one of the main show choirs will be competing and this is determined by how active the role playing is. A boundary number of posts is set by the staff and the members of the show choir must post enough to reach that boundary. For example, if there are 12 members in New Directions, the number for Sectionals could be set at 360 (about 30 posts per character). If there are 20 members in Vocal Adrenaline, their number to beat would be 600 (still 30 posts per character). That means that Vocal Adrenaline doesn't have an advantage over New Directions
If you are still confused by the competition system, please PM a member of staff who will go over it in further detail until you understand.
